The Farmhouse box is here!

Super excited to have our first delivery of meats, breads, etc- everything looks amazing!

......and the mystery veggies are: broccoli and kohlrabi
Not sure what we'll be serving these with just yet....maybe the schnitzle.

The pesto isn't happening this week- the arugula we received is much smaller that what we normally get, definitely not enough to make pesto. Might throw it in with the collards and mustard greens for the schnitzle. Fortunately, the kalamata olive pasta is dried so we'll hold that for another time.

The team over at Farmhouse Delivery also gifted us some yummy looking preserves from confituras. 'cameo apple & rosemary preserves'- can't wait to try it!

On another note, I've been continuing the hunt for delicious green cabbage recipes- they seem to be few and far between. But check out this amazing dish my friend Janet made:

This is sausage, potatoes, and green cabbage which she adapted from this recipe. I'm definitely trying this the next time we get cabbage- and pairing it with the brautwurst from Full Quiver Farm. YUM.
